Color My World



Can you believe we are already into the second month of the new year???
And the time is close for our February Club Meeting!
 Keller Sugar Craft Guild will be meeting on

Keller Public Library

It is astounding how much talent our members possess! 

Tammy Luckey, owner of Luckey Cakes in Wautagua, TX, and amazing artist,
will be demonstrating at this month's meeting.


Tammy impressed the judges at the SugarWonder's Cake show with her beautiful artistry.
Her intricate painting and flower work won 1st place ribbons!
She will be showing us how she paints these lovely images on cakes.

We are so excited that she is sharing her talent with our club!

So, don't miss out!!

Cookie Decorating, Caroling, and Holiday Storytimes at the Library

Come celebrate the season at the Keller Public Library.  A festive day of activities is designed to get you into the holiday spirit.

The Keller Sugar Craft Guild will present their work in the form of gingerbread houses that will be on display at the Keller Library until after Christmas.

They will also offer decorating demonstrations and have hands on cookie decorating for children in the Library meeting room from 1:00-4:00.

One or two gingerbread houses will be decorated with your help in the Library's conference room.  Holiday storytimes will be held in the Story Room at 1:30 and 3:00.

The Children's Librarian, Brenda Cody, will read and entertain the children with songs and crafts.

A four part harmony of carolers will perform in the lobby and stroll through the Library.



If you enjoy Saturday's activities, consider returning on Sunday for the activities geared towards adults.  
 
A cookie swap will take place at 1:00 followed by decorating demonstrations courtesy of Keller Sugar Craft Guild at 2:00.  
Tammy Strobel will demonstrate beautiful decorated Sugar Cookies.
Jacque Benson will demonstrate making a Key Lime Sugar Cookie Tree.
 
Please RSVP for the cookie swap to Carolyn Booker at cbooker@cityofkeller.com or 817-743-4820.  Bring 60 cookies of one type and go home with a variety.

Ready, Set....


And we are OFF to the Races!

The inaugural Meeting of the Keller Sugar Craft Guild is
set for July 10, 2011

So REV up your engines!
Tammy Strobel will be demonstrating how to make a 
Race Track Cupcake Display
and offering a hands on demonstration
to decorate the cupcakes!

We will fill you in on all of our exciting upcoming meetings and events,
including our free Gingerbread House Workshop taking place in our meetings.
Jacque Benson will begin the first lesson of the workshop sharing baking tips and ways to create templates for making a great gingerbread house! 

This workshop will culminate into a partnered event with the Keller Public Library 
on the Weekend of December 3-4, 2011
including an exhibition of the gingerbread houses, demonstrations, cookie swap, with on full day geared for children and family fun! It is a great way to share your talent and network within the community!

Announcing Keller Sugar Craft Guild



Are you looking for a way to give back to your community while learning something new?  Would you like to mentor, support and learn from fellow artists in the exciting profession of the sugar arts?


Keller Sugar Craft Guild is a non-profit club that provides an opportunity to learn interesting new, as well as tried and true techniques for experienced and beginning cake decorators, bakers and sugar artists.

Our goal is to support our fellow sugar artists while finding entertaining and inspiring ways to give back to our community in the process.

We will be meeting soon and offering a fun-filled Christmas Gingerbread House workshop.
